Why does that song go through my head every week? Especially on Mondays? Not a good sign.
It was fun seeing my mom, brother, Grandma, and Aunts this weekend! We ended up going out to lunch with them on Saturday. They then went shopping and stopped by in the evening so that my mom could try the doppler out on me.
We tried to find Fressy's heartbeat for a good 20 minutes, but couldn't find it. So, we took a break and watched our Costa Rica video. We decided to try one more time and found it pretty quickly! My stomach was acting up, which I think was masking the sound of the hb. It read 169 beats per minute, so that was exciting! It was also a relief to hear it again. I know Fred is against buying a doppler, but I think I might go over his head and rent one - I'm kind of addicted to hearing that little whoosh-whoosh. Sorry Fred!

Ready for the Weekend
But aren't I always? It's been a long week.
Things are going along well. I'm still sick most of the evenings and I lay down at about 7:00 pm and sleep until midnight and then sleep off and on all night. I think because I'm not in as deep of a sleep, I've been having very strange and vivid dreams.
I have about 70 loads of laundry I'm going to attempt to tackle this weekend, so hopefully that goes well. My mom and Grandma and Aunts are all coming down (they're in town visiting my mom) and I think my mom is going to bring down her office's doppler! I can't wait to hear Fressy's little whoosh-whoosh heart beating again!
I also have my 14-week appointment scheduled for April 27. The Fetal Medicine unit at Fairview called to schedule my 20-week ultrasound, but they didn't have the Dr's schedule yet, so I have to wait to get the actual date nailed down. It will most likely be the week of June 8 (which happens to be Little One #2's EDD). I'm super-excited! I'm going to have a level-2 ultrasound because of heart issues in both of our families (non-genetic, but better safe!) and also a fetal echo-cardiogram. And we'll also find out if Fressy is a boy or a girl! I wish it was June already.

Good Day!
We had our 1st OB appointment today and we got to hear the heartbeat!!!! Yahoo!!! It was about 161 bpm. My Dr. checked my cervix and thought it might be tricky to find the hb based on the position of my uterus, but she put the doppler on and found it right away!
So happy :)

Appointment Tomorrow!
I can't wait! It's our first ob appointment for this pregnancy, and will be our 3rd ob appointment in the past year and a half. I'm hoping this one goes much better! They're going to try and find the heartbeat with the doppler, so keep your fingers crossed! I'll update tomorrow!

Bloaty!
All I can picture is myself rubbing my belly and saying "I'm so dead sexy" just like Fat Bastard in Austin Powers. Ick.

Happy Spring!
I'm so happy that spring has finally arrived! It was about 60 degrees here today, which is fantastic. The big dog spent a lot of time outside in the yard and we even had our windows open! I however, have been feeling pretty crappy and spending most of my time camped out on the couch, but I could feel the air and that was enough for me!
So yes, I have been sick. It's a good sign, but I can't say I particularly enjoy it. However, I am grateful that it means that I probably have a healthy baby growing away! We have our next Dr. appointment next Monday at 10 weeks. I'm still trying to talk Fred into getting a doppler for at home, but he's being pretty resistant. I might just have to talk my mom into bringing one from work down for us... We'll see :) She is pretty excited about this grandchild! :)

Introducing Fressy!

Here are the pictures from the ultrasound! Just a teeny tiny blob right now, but hopefully growing strong! Fred and I had been joking at one point that we would name the baby Fressica, and now the in-tummy baby has the nickname "Fressy", which my mom says she is calling baby (short for Fressica). So here he/she is!
Doesn't look like much yet, but in the second picture, the arrow is pointing to the heart! I wish the next 6 weeks would FLY by, because I want to shout it from the rooftops! :)

YAHOO!!!!
I am so, so, so, so HAPPY!!!!! Baby looks perfect! He/She is about a centimeter long and is measuring right on time at 7w1d! And we saw the heartbeat right away - measuring great at 156 beats per minute! BEST. DAY. EVER.
Fred scanned the pictures, so I'll load them later today. THANK YOU ALL for your warm wishes and prayers! They worked :)

Prayers Please!
Today is the day - finally. Please pray for us and hope that we have a healthy baby growing in there!!
I'm not going to lie - I keep imagining the worst. I've never seen a healthy baby and I just don't know what to expect. I also have had several anxiety attacks and have become borderline hysterical. I just don't know how I'm going to make it to 1:00.
All your prayers and good thoughts are appreciated!!!!

Anxiety
I'm starting to get nervous for our appointment on Wednesday. I just want to know one way or the other if this is the baby for us. I'm praying every day that this will be it! I just am thinking about it all the time. My boss said to me last week, "At least you have a lot going on so you won't be thinking about it." Um, yeah, not the way it works. I wish I was thinking about other stuff, but it's almost like an obsession. I just hope that if this is it, that I will get to a point where I can relax and enjoy it.
